## Controller and data processing

### Controller

### Technical delivery
Connection data required for delivery, security and error diagnosis are processed when a page is requested. The raw IP address is used during the request for network communication and local Geo-IP resolution, but is not stored as a raw value in x25uptime analytics.

### Cookieless basic statistics
Without a persistent browser identifier, x25uptime counts page views, active use, search events, tool use and clicks to the x25 network. Stored fields include page path, language, device class, referrer domain, x25 destination and coarse visitor location. The server derives a daily-changing pseudonymous value from technical request data. Without analytics consent, search terms are not stored as analytics content.

### Optional extended analytics
After consent, the browser creates a random visitor identifier in Local Storage and a session identifier in Session Storage. The server uses only pseudonymised hash values. Withdrawal removes the optional browser identifiers.

### Cookies and storage
The necessary `x25uptime_privacy` cookie stores the signed consent state for up to 180 days. Local Storage and Session Storage are used for analytics only after consent. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and comparable third-party trackers are not embedded in the current implementation.

### Recipients and retention
Analytics is processed as first-party data in the x25uptime backend and is not sent to an external analytics provider. Event-level analytics data and consent logs are retained for a maximum of 180 days by default. Aggregated daily statistics without visitor or session identifiers may be retained longer for trend analysis.

## Legal bases, rights and control

Processing is carried out under the Swiss FADP. Where the GDPR applies, technical delivery, security and cookieless basic statistics rely on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; optional extended analytics relies on consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Data subjects may exercise the rights available under applicable law and may withdraw analytics consent at any time through Cookie settings for future processing.
